Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

The many volunteers who make IMGA so outstanding were honored with an Appreciation Breakfast at Stone & Barrel on December 12. The old saying, “Many hands make light work,” certainly applies to IMGA. IMGA President Steve Westhoff gave special recognition to Danny Smith who does an incredible job and puts in many hours on our behalf. The group gave an appreciative round of applause to Steve for his leadership and to Danny for his dedicated hard work.

Stableford Scoring Has Changed

Danny Smith has announced that the scoring for Stableford Tournaments has changed in a way that heavily rewards Eagles and Double Eagles. The new scoring is: Net Double Eagle = 8 pts, Net Eagle = 5 pts, Net Birdie = 3 pts, Net Par = 1 pts, Net Bogey or more = 0 pts.

Are You Computer Literate?

Danny Smith says that the new system is working great. There are no errors on payments, and there is more information. If you go to the IMGA website,, and click on “Results,” you can click on “Leaderboard” and not only see the results, but also, by scrolling down, view individual scorecards for every player! Wow!

If you have basic computer skills, Danny could use your help with data entry. It’s an easy way to contribute to our great club and lighten Danny’s load a little. Please let him know if you’re willing to help.
