A team from IronOaks volunteered at Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank in Chandler. Matthew’s Crossing is a non-profit charitable organization addressing the needs of hunger in our community. Ten members from the management team met to help out for the morning. Five hundred meal bags were assembled, along with prepping snack bags and breaking down bulk boxes to be packed into individual bags for the next group of volunteers.
Matthew’s Crossing helps anyone in need of food assistance. All one needs to do is present a photo ID and register with Matthew’s Crossing to receive one emergency food box each month. The food box will feed a family of four for up to three days. They also have a holiday food box and non-food items when items are available. There are plenty of opportunities to donate, volunteer, and advocate. Please visit their website at www.matthewscrossing.org for more information.
