Our new 2023 president Judy Thompson has taken over the reins for the coming year starting Jan. 1. We started off the new year by holding our first general meeting on Jan. 11 with lots of information regarding memberships, tournaments, and upcoming activities. Info regarding accessing dual dues rebates can be found at Azgolf.org in case of participation in more than one league, and having to register for a second handicap. Memberships expired Jan. 1, and they’ll have to be renewed in order to make tee requests on Chelsea.
On Feb. 8 we will be having our annual Valentine Luncheon where we invite our besties, significant others, husbands, or just about anyone we want to join us for a 9-hole round of golf, followed by a lovely luncheon at the Oakwood ballroom. Good food, special cocktails, prize draws, and fun activities can always be expected.
The time change to a 9 a.m. start has been postponed until further notice, and we will continue to start our tee-off at 10 a.m. We warmly continue to welcome all new golfers wanting to join our Ladies league, no matter their skill level. Come and give us a try.
“It’s amazing how a golfer who never helps with house or yard work will replace his divots, repair his ball marks, and rake his sand traps.”
