Congratulations to our IWLN league members Mary Medved and Janis Gustafson on winning first place in their flight at the Medallion Tournament, which was held at Oakwood Golf Course on Jan. 13. Great job, ladies. Way to go!

As the weather is starting to warm, we look forward to shedding our sweaters, vests, and bulky attire for the sleeveless and lightweight outfits that we were hoping might help shave a few strokes off our golf scores. After months and months of watching and hearing the activities going on around the Ironwood Pro Shop, we look forward to the opening of our totally redesigned and expanded Grill on the Green. It is set to open mid-February, and we are all waiting with anticipation, knowing we won’t have to go far to enjoy a get-together with our teammates over lunch.

We had LPGA golf professional Jan Roberts, who has recently been hired by IronOaks as their new golf pro, come to visit us as a guest. She shared a golf tip and told us a little bit about herself. Please contact Jan for lessons or information.

We presently have 78 regular members/active players and one social member. We welcome any and all golfers, no matter their level of expertise. We are a fun-loving group of ladies of all ages who don’t take the game of golf too, too seriously.
