Happy New Year and welcome back, holiday travelers! We just want you all to know that since you couldn’t be here in Sun Lakes during the holidays, we all enjoyed golf and our gorgeous “Chamber of Commerce” holiday weather for you!
Awards: At our December 7 general meeting and brunch, Denise Fleshner presented the following Birdie awards: With one birdie each Marian Greer, Rony Lacey, Linda Liberti, Barbara Johnston, Susan Schaeffer and Mary Swanson. With two birdies: Margaret Johns. Denise also presented chip-in awards to Julia Collier, Susie Cook, Ann Gavin, Eileen Moberg, Lorene Roberts, Mary Swanson and Catherine Tinerino-Moore. These two ladies had three chip-ins each: Joanne Gaudioso and Margaret Johns. Fun facts: In 2016 our ladies made 24 Birdies and 34 chip-ins. Deborah Poropat presented the Ringer awards to: Flight No. 1: Nancy Heberling (6), Flight No. 2: Susan Meer (15), Bettie Farr (13), Darla McCracken (5), Lorene Roberts (5); Flight No. 3: Margaret Johns (12) and Jeanine Krause (5); Flight No. 4: Eileen Moberg (1). Congratulations, ladies – you played very, very well on the Oakwood course this summer! Special thanks to Rosemary Steinfest and Barbara Johnston for planning our absolutely delicious plated December brunch and for creating a stunning and sparkling festive Christmas glow throughout our Ironwood Sports Bar.
Congratulations! We congratulate our IWLN Medallion winners Nancy Heberling who is our Low Gross winner and Linda Liberti who is our Low Net winner. They will represent our Ironwood Lady Niners on January 15 at the AWGA State Medallion Club Team Championship being held at Pebble Creek. We wish you both the best of luck.
Membership: We thank all of our members who renewed their membership for 2017. We are looking forward to a wonderful golf experience, enjoying our friendships and maybe even lowering those golf scores.
