The Sun Lakes “Project Talent” contest is being developed to “show off” the talent, creativity, silliness, and fun within the Sun Lakes community. Do you have a talent or belong to a group that has talent? Do you have an entertainer in your family or know someone who has? This is an invitation to audition for our own “Sun Lakes’ Got Talent” show project.

1. Are you a singer, comedian, daredevil, have a pet that can do backflips, or just have an odd talent? How about showing it off on stage and possibly win a trophy, cash, or other prizes and be known as the “Best in Sun Lakes”? If you live in Sun Lakes or have a family member or friend who lives in Sun Lakes to be your sponsor, you are welcome to participate. Contact us at [email protected] and let us know what talent you or your group has. Auditions will start around November and take place over several weeks at different locations, days, and times, with the finale planned for early next year at one of our community stages. Keep in mind that greatness is not as important as having fun. All auditions and shows will be videoed, and a link to share with family and friends will be available.

2. Even if you are not a performer but want to be involved, you can become a team member or even a judge. Join a team of volunteers to help develop schedules, location, promotion, and just help out where needed. Note: As of this press release, this event is not currently associated with any television or entertainment network, social club, church, or business.

3. We are looking for various sponsors and clubs for prizes and donations, for not only the winner, runner-up, and second runner-up, but also for the best in each category, such as “Best Singer,” “Best Magician,” “Best Dancer,” and “Most Unusual.” Age is another category for prizes for “Best Performer Under the Age of 17” and, of course, “Best Senior Talent.” Being a sponsor is a great way for your business, club, or organization to get more exposure to “spread your message” within our community.
