The members of Post 619 Jewish War Veterans in Sun Lakes will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. on May 15 in the Mirror Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club. The speakers this month will be Michelle Jameson who is the CEO of U.S. Vets Inc., an organization that runs training programs and housing for homeless veterans and Brad Bridwell who is charge of contracting and building affordable housing for single veterans at many locations throughout the U.S. Last month the Post conducted two service days of feeding veterans at two locations, U.S. Vets and 3400 Grand Avenue which is a converted motel to help veterans in need. The board meets each month and contributes to many veterans’ causes. The post is active all year long and inquiries are answered from any person regardless of race, religion or gender. Many participants in the post are not Jewish or veterans but want to help veterans. This post works tirelessly to help homeless and in need veterans with many persons taking part. For information on the post call Paul Herman at 480-659-2998. For reservations for the brunch that precedes the meeting please call Glenda Warshaw at 480-802-7847 or email [email protected].
