Ladies Pitch and Putt

The 2024 season got off to a chilly start with the weather, but the ladies are a hardy bunch and fought through all adversities. Everyone managed to have a good time as well as some chuckles from the weekly “special” game. They included rolling dice to subtract from your score, turning your putter backwards to putt, using the worst drive in a scramble format, and teeing off using a baseball bat!

Team winners so far are as follows:

Jan. 4: Sue Tappe, Mary Harper, Elizabeth Valentine, Pat Trupp

Jan 11: Wendy Good, Arlene Fletcher, Elizabeth Valentine, Pat Trupp

Jan. 18: Joan Sykes, Rosemary King, Pat Trupp, Rose Gallagher

Jan 25: (tie) Linda Stimart, Rosemary King, Rose Gallagher/Sherry Digel, Pat Rouse, Seria Gardner, Jo Solie

Feb. 1: Joann Brown, Jane Parker, Jo Solie, Elizabeth Valentine

Feb. 8: Joann Brown, Seira Gardner, Penny Peterson, Dawn Planting

The golfing gods have been shining down upon a number of special golfers so far this season. In a span of two weeks, no less than three lucky and skillful ladies each scored a hole-in-one! Congratulations to Janet Lemon and Jo Solie, who aced hole number 3, and Janice Cosgrove, who slam-dunked one on hole number 6. You Go, Girls!

Play will continue every Thursday through March 21.
