At press time, the Sluggers were halfway through their season and were sporting a decent 8-6 record. Almost all the games have been closely contested affairs, with losses being by only one or two runs. The competition has been fierce, and the ladies have shown they are up to the task.

The top hitters through the halfway mark were Cheryl Jolin at .767, Trudy Hall at .750, Frankie DeMouth at .739, Grace Alvarado at .688, and Crissy Connors at .656. Newcomers Trudy and Grace are battling it out for Rookie of the Year honors, and their play in the field is as impressive as their hitting.

The Sluggers are grateful for volunteer umpire Tom Erpelding and appreciate the support from all their fans. The final home games versus Sunland Springs Village on March 4 will wrap up the 2024 season. The first pitch is scheduled for noon. Come by the Field of Dreams and cheer on our Sluggers!
