At the recent annual meeting of Sun Lakes Community Theatre (SLCT), the membership elected two new board members: Jess Alberts and Brian Haynie. They will each serve three-year terms for SLCT. After the meeting, in an executive session, the board elected Kate King-Turner as the organization’s new president, John Zoeller as the new vice president, and Nancy Patterson as the new secretary. Kate and John replace Greg Posniack and Robin Murray, respectively, who had fulfilled their terms as board members and left the leadership team. Nancy replaced Sharon Gerdik, who remains on the board, along with MJ Clements.

SLCT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and entertaining the community with performing arts activities. It also supports local high school theatre arts students and teachers. With a membership of nearly 100, these volunteers produce three plays per season: a Variety Show, a Children’s Theatre, and the comedy improv group, The ImproVables.
