Pastor Jerry McGhee is happy to announce that Linda Yarbrough, a longtime friend and colleague, is joining the ministry team at Sun Lakes Community Church.

Linda worked with Jerry for 22 years at a church in Chandler, and doing it again was exciting for both of them. She started the first Sunday of September. Linda started playing the piano at the age of five, and since, has been involved in music ministries at various churches and schools, including Scottsdale Christian Academy, Valley Christian High School, Chandler Christian Academy, as well as Grace Community Church in Tempe. She served for 22 years with Pastor McGhee when he was Pastor at Faith Community Church in Chandler.

Linda is married to Steve Yarbrough, President of the Arizona State Senate. They have three sons. Linda is also Vice-Chair of the Chandler Cultural Foundation, a precinct committeeman for District 17 that includes Sun Lakes, and is a volunteer and a substitute teacher at Valley Christian High School.

Steve and Linda care for Steve’s 100-year-old mother who resides with them in their home.

Pastor McGhee is optimistic about the future of the church and says, “We have some exciting plans on the drawing board. Next year is our 40th anniversary as a congregation, so you can look forward to hearing about a lot of special events. Linda will be an important part of all those plans.”
