Look What’s New for Feet! Structural Reflexology!

Kathleen Ismael, Reflexology Practitioner, IronOaks Fitness

A new form of reflexology is the newest hot topic in the world of feet. As traditional reflexology addresses every system and organ in the body, structural reflexology does all of that and more.

Structural reflexology focuses on the design and function of the foot. Every foot and ankle bone, joint, ligament, and muscle in the foot has a specific job in every step that we take. When one part is crowded, misaligned, broken, or misused, chaos ensues.

Trouble starts from the foundation up. When the foot is not functioning properly, the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and neck are all called upon to compensate. This causes multiple problems in posture, balance, joints, and more.

Structural reflexology can identify and address improper weight bearing and distribution in the stride, as well as any area of stress or misalignment in the foot.

Benefits of structural reflexology include improved joint articulation, improved weight bearing and balance, improved blood and nerve supply to the feet and body, relief of joint tension, and increased strength and vitality in the feet and body.

Feet deserve every opportunity to function properly and are taken for granted most of the time. Give your feet a chance to shine!
