Member/Member Tournament: The Member/Member Tournament was held on Jan. 19, and the results are in. Rick Cowley and Mark Starley won the first flight in spite of having a tied score of 63 with Ken Gaylord and Steve Engler. Dan Muth and Rich Popham soundly won the second flight by two strokes. Steve Crowell and Wayne Karp took first place in the third flight by a narrow one-stroke margin, as did Dennis Winchell and Richard Engler in the fourth flight. Charlie Fields and James Schaper won the fifth flight by a healthy two strokes. Congratulations to all of the winners!

Presidents Cup: As of this writing, the second round of the Presidents Cup has been completed. Roger Brandt was the low man in Round 2 with a net 70. The overall leader after two rounds is Russ Rupiper, and there are 12 players within four shots of the leader, so it should be an interesting conclusion. Russ Rupiper (141); Garry Loncon, Rodger Brandt (142); Arthur Whitmore, Kirwan Flannery, Jim Morin, Eddie Cauffman (143); Doug Stodgel, Patrick Rather (144); Dale Redger, Bill Dutoit (145)

MOGA Photo Album: A MOGA photo album will soon be available online. It will help us connect names with faces (not that any of us have a problem with that).

Fred Smith, MOGA Webmaster: The next time you’re on the MOGA website, click on the Lists tab and you’ll find lists of MOGA members who have made holes-in-one, shot their age, and members’ handicap and chosen tee. Very nice, Fred! It’s no wonder that the website had 8,294 views in January!

No Shows: If I had to make last-minute pairing adjustments because somebody didn’t show up and didn’t call, I’d probably quit. I don’t do well with that kind of stress. Please have the courtesy to let our volunteers know if you can’t make it. Call the add/cancel line at 480-317-3650, Ext. 1.
