Non-Fiction Book Club: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

Aug. 2 at 3 p.m.

Join our fantastic nonfiction book club to read fascinating biographies, gripping historical accounts, or affirming self-help titles. Each month we will read a different nonfiction book and discuss it as a group. This month, we will be discussing The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot, and we will be handing out copies of our next book.

Recipe Swap

Aug. 4 at 10 a.m.

Join us once a month to share and swap recipes! Bring your favorite recipes, and we will create and pass out copies of it. Participants will be provided with a Robson recipe book where you can add the new recipes you receive.

Spice Trip Around the World (not an in-person program)

Aug. 5

Take a trip around the world with a different spice each month! Register for this program and receive an email when it is ready for you to come to the library to pick up your spice packet with a recipe. If you’d like to receive the information in person, register for our monthly Recipe Swap Program!

Book Club Is My Alibi: The Waiting

Join library staff as we explore the mystery genre. We will discuss The Waiting, by Michael Connelly, and we will hand out copies of our next book, Listen for the Lie, by Amy Tintera.

Container Gardening

Join certified arborist Jonathan Manning as he discusses the best plants and techniques for container gardening in the Valley.

Readers Rendezvous

Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.

Join fellow readers monthly to discuss what you love to read, share some recommendations, and leave with new titles to read! This will be a book club-style discussion, but it will not require a title to read.
