Jim Redden gets his fifth hole-in-one!

Bob Greene, Publicity

We are pleased to report that MOGA has another Ace golfer, Mr. Jim Redden. On Thursday, January 21, Jim scored a hole-in-one on No. 7 of the Palms course. It just happens to be his fifth hole-in-one since 2003 and not all at Oakwood. His first was Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, second was No. 4 of the Palms, third was No. 2 of the Lakes, number four was up in the mountains at Pinetop Lakes in 2014 and then number five on No. 7 Palms. He said he was “halfway to having all the par threes at Oakwood.” Congratulations Jim!

The Member – Member Tournament was held on January 21 using the Lakes/Palms courses. There were six flights composed of 136 golfers. Leaders of Flight One were Peter Yoon and Jim Scott; Flight Two was Joe Ferrazza and Richard Schager; Flight Three was Dick Teater and Duane Coking; Flight Four was Howard Dielmann and Jim Schuman; Flight Five was Pat O’Connell and Greg Poropat; and Flight Six was a tie between John Sinks/Eugene Meyer and James Hooyman and Stanley Darling. All the results can be found on www.mogagolf.org.
