MOGA in November

MOGA members participated in four Thursday events in November. With all Oakwood courses back in operation after winter grass seeding, all of the events were well attended.

November 6 – Morning and afternoon sessions of ABCD Rainbow where teams alternated among three sets of tees. The morning round first place winners were Bob Mcleod, Don Rouget and Jerry Copeland; second place went to Phil Dantzscher, TJ Jones, Charles Fields and Ted Brown.

The afternoon round first place winners were Mike Mattz, Thomas Bezrutczyk and Ron Gielen; second place went to Edward Thorn, Richard Winkelman and Orazio Fusco.

November 13 – Morning and afternoon rounds of Individual Stableford. In the morning, Flight 1 winner was Tom Courtney; Flight 2 winner was Rich Pavlak; Flight 3 winner was Charlie Tourville; Flight 4 winner was Edgar Derenne.

In the afternoon, Flight 1 winner was Paul Dinardo; Flight 2 winner was Jim Junkermeier; Flight 3 winner was Chuck Ewan; Flight 4 winner was Orazio Fusco.

November 20 – Morning and afternoon rounds of Individual Low Net. The morning Flight 1 winner was Patrick Wilson; Flight 2 winners were Richard Scranton tied with Ed Cauffman; Flight 3 winner was Aki Yasuda; Flight 4 winners were Darrell Wilcox tied with Dick Tarpinian.

The afternoon Flight 1 winner was Jim Junkermeier; Flight 2 winner was James Redden; Flight 3 winners were Dave Lutes tied with Orazio Fusco; and Flight 4 winner was Larry Burke.

November 27 – Morning round of ABCD Step-Aside Scramble. The team of Patrick Wilson, Ed Cauffman and Bob Lawson won the event; second place went to Steve Kirschner, Bill Giessing, Don Rouget and Jim Hooyman.

MOGA is the Men’s Oakwood Golf Association whose weekly events are held on Thursdays. A variety of golf game formats provides the members with both individual and team challenges.
