The Sun Lakes Pickleball Club of IronOaks held its December social on Saturday afternoon, December 9. JoAnn Zapatka formed teams according to their birthdates (January birthdates with December, February with November, etc.) Each team played five matches, one game to 11. Prizes were given along with six raffle prizes. Evonne Jasnic received a special quiet paddle award. Most versatile volunteer award went to Brenda Lee. The team winners were 1st, Joel Yoder and Judy Dippold, 2nd, Connie Harper and John Reed and 3rd, Evonne Jasnic and Russ Puckett.

It was also the debut of the new SLPCIO club banner. Thank you, Bob Harper.

Be sure to check out the club’s new website, ironoakspickleball.com, for future fun events in the coming year. Rhonda Stanford has posted interesting articles on pickleball and photos from our previous socials on the site. It is truly idill.
