New GriefShare classes begin May 4

Grieving the passing of a beloved family member or a close friend is a life altering experience. As such, grief, a normal response to death, is unique to every individual. Whether the loved one battled a debilitating disease for an extended period of time or died unexpectedly, grief is a painful reality that should not be avoided if one truly wants to experience healing. You can see an example of people processing grief and the ways they dealt with it if you click here. Processing something so intense can bring about anxiety so seek out help if you need it.

Sun Lakes United Methodist Church is hosting GriefShare, a program designed to help those struggling with grief. If you or someone you know is looking for help in dealing with grief, consider being a part of the Wednesday afternoon GriefShare class which will begin on May 4 and run through July 13. The class will meet from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in Room One of the Education Building.

Each lesson is self-contained, so if you are not able to attend every class, you are welcome to come as often as you can. The class registration fee of $15 covers the cost of the workbook. Register online at www.sunlakesumc.org or at the church office at 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes. For more information call 480-895-8766.
