Niners February Golf Results

Jim Wegman, Publicity

Welcome to February golf. We are already saying goodbye to some winter visitors. Gentlemen, travel safely and come back to us in the fall.

The 50/50 drawing has hit an all-time high thanks to the efforts of Jim Campbell and his able assistant Bob Gresen.

Gentlemen, we have lost one of our longtime former Niners, Lynn Thompson. Lynn was a terrific guy, always had a good day on the course, and was a ready volunteer for the league, having served four terms as treasurer and a term as secretary. Lynn had a welcome smile for new members and was quick to help with any project. Our deepest condolences are offered to Lynn’s wife Meredith and the members of the Thompson family.

Believe it or not, spring arrived on March 20, and it is never too early to begin preparing for the Arizona summer.

Stock up on sunblock and look for larger brimmed hats to keep that old sun off your face and neck. There are also sun-blocking arm sleeves available in the Pro Shop. So, be sun-smart in the Arizona weather.
