Niners May 2021 Golf Results

Jim Wegman, Publicity

This is the time of the year when we say “goodbye” to our winter golfers. We hope you arrive safely at your summer destination and have a great time there. Just remember, travel safely back to IronOaks. We will be waiting for you when the leaves start to fall.

This month, the league suffered the loss of two members. Jim Hooyman, a good guy and new member, was making friends and enjoying the golf with our league. Sadly, Jim left us all too soon. Our condolences are offered to Jim’s wife Rose and the Hooyman family.

Mike Stegina was a longtime member, former website manager, and a dear friend and neighbor. Mike always had a good day on the course, and his hearty laugh will be missed by his buddies. Our condolences are offered to the Stegina family.

The other day on the Palms, our rules chairman Bob Deken provided a tip to help with the pace of play problems. When you are putting and end up close to the hole, putt out. It works to reduce time on the course.
