Palo Verde Ladies Golf Association (PVLGA) has a 2024 Club Champion crowned on March 12. Tracy Rice has won again after winning in 2023! She had a low two-day gross score of 140! Congratulations, Tracy! The Flight 1 winner was Mary Nelson with a 149, the Flight 2 winner was Pat Tjosvold with a 153, the Flight 3 winner was Zara Logan with a 164, and the Flight 4 winner was Marilyn Lloyd with a 172. Marilyn also won the Presidents Cup in February.

This is a very busy time of year, as we held our Member-Member Tournament on March 26. Members teamed up with an old friend or a new friend for a fun scramble with a spring-Easter theme. The Easter Bunny (Kay Berner) was dressed in a pink tutu and pink ears to pass out prizes. What we will do to get attention, Kay! You looked marvelous! Flight 1 winners were Rose Hames and Paddy Newton, Flight 2 winners were Cindy Bosch and Wanda Siedlecki, and Flight 3 winners were Sharon Fratiello and Mary Mentone. Congratulations to all the winning teams.

Our biggest event of the year was on April 16 but not in time for this edition of the Splash. The Member-Guest Tournament was a fun time for all 128 players! Watch for some very pink photos next month!

In other news, longtime member Naomi Bryson will take over the office of vice president for PVLGA. Thank you, Naomi!

This is the time of year when many of our players head to the cooler weather for the summer! We look forward to everyone’s return in the fall. We still have games every Tuesday, so if you are in Sun Lakes, sign up for a game. You might just win some chits and have a sweaty good time.
