Now that the cold weather is almost history, we can relax and leave the blankets at home. Our Jan. 17 general meeting scramble had us dressed in our favorite football teams’ colors and shirts.

Results from the Jan. 17 Super Bowl Scramble:

3rd: Nancy Hermanson, Zara Logan, Margie Brandon, and Martha Foster

On Jan. 26 we had a great time playing with our friends from Cottonwood in the annual CottonVerde. Cottonwood hosted this year, and we had a fun time playing the front nine of Cottonwood and the back nine of Palo Verde. Thank you, Cottonwood, for a great day and a delicious salad.

Feb. 7 was another fun event hosted by SunBird Ladies Golf League. Players from four courses were invited to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Month and play together in a step aside scramble. After golf, we had a box lunch and announced the winners. Thank you, SunBird ladies, for all your hard work. Next year, a different club will host the event.

Get ready, ladies, for more exciting events: Feb. 21 and 28 will be the Presidents Cup. March 14 will be the Member/Member Tournament. March 21 and 28 will be the Club Championship. April 4 will be PICO where we play with Ironwood, Cottonwood, and Oakwood. April 18 will be our final big event, the Member/Guest Tournament. Invitations will be sent out to members the first week of March!
