The longer I live here, the more I realize that the meaning given in the dictionary for desert, “a dry barren area of land that is characteristically desolate, waterless and without vegetation,” does not do justice to our unique Sonoran Desert with its amazing plants and animals, spectacular bolder formations and majestic ranges. We are surrounded by an abundance of untouched natural beauty that delights and pleases our senses and minds. Connecting with nature can give us a feeling of happiness and peace of mind, so open your eyes and enjoy!
