Reiki is not only something you can do for another person to help them, it’s also—primarily—a gift you give yourself for your own ongoing wellbeing or recovery.
Once you’ve learned how to receive Reiki, you give yourself a Reiki treatment every day. That involves about 20 minutes of placing your hands on head and torso positions, allowing Universal Life energy to flow into your body, bringing greater balance, order, and normalcy.
Each of us uses energy every moment. Our body requires energy to perform tasks. Our brain requires energy to think, plan, and worry … if you really want to. Our emotions use energy to express what we feel. We use a lot of energy just by living.
That energy needs to be replenished, or it becomes depleted. Depletion of energy leads to disease processes. We feel physically run down. We feel tired, depressed, anxious, or irritated. There are myriads of other unpleasant effects due to lack of energy.
Reiki replenishes, renews, restores, and rebalances your energy supplies. You’ll feel more relaxed, uplifted, regenerated, and more positive. The more you feel good, the greater good you attract to yourself.
Your life can improve. It’s up to you. Reiki is a positive, healing, balancing energy. You can learn to access that power and use it for improvement. Your choice to learn hands-on Reiki will benefit you for the rest of your life.
