Vaccination rates are approaching herd immunity. COVID restrictions like mask wearing and social distancing are being lifted. Life seems on track to returning to “normal.” But what will life look like in the coming months?

The Restless Minds discussion group will consider the implications at its May meeting.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, May 11. We will meet by Zoom, as we have since the pandemic began. Sign-in instructions will be emailed to all those on the Restless Minds contact list. Those who wish to be added should email Bill Gates at [email protected].

But next fall, will we be able to meet in person? What sorts of activities do you see returning to normal as we enter the summer months? What limitations, voluntary or required, do you see still affecting activities this fall?

When will you be ready to grocery shop without a mask? When will you attend a gathering of more than 20 people? Will you go to restaurants, movies, theaters, concerts, or church? When will you travel out of state? Out of country?

How do you see life permanently affected by the pandemic experience?
