Risen Savior expands Community Christmas concert

Risen Savior Lutheran Church has announced that thanks to overwhelming public demand, a second performance is being added to its annual Community Christmas Concert. “We were absolutely overjoyed by the response to our Community Christmas concert last year. The church was filled to capacity; however, even though we were pleased to welcome a standing room only audience, it truly broke our hearts to have to turn away late arriving attendees,” said Ron Burcham, Senior Pastor of Risen Savior.

“This year everyone will have a seat. It pleases me to announce we have been able to book all of the musicians for two performances on Sunday afternoon, December 13, at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Both performances will last about an hour,” Reverend Burcham added.

“We believe that this year’s program will even surpass last year. In addition to return performances by last year’s featured artists, we have added three very special performing artists to the program. One of the best parts, of course, will be that all of the musicians will once again join in accompanying the audience in singing their favorite Christmas carols throughout the concert,” stated Joel Endicott, Risen Savior’s Director of Worship.

“In keeping with the objective of using this event to bless some of our less fortunate neighbors, the admission fee for the concert will once again be two cans of food per adult attendee to be donated to the Chandler Food Bank. Last year the audience donated over 1,000 pounds of food.

Be sure to mark your calendars for December 13. We promise to entertain you with superb performances of Christmas music, lots of laughter, touching moments remembering Christmas’ past and a good time joining with friends and neighbors in celebrating the joy of Christmas,” Pastor Ron concluded.
