“Oh my,” are we ready for June and the upcoming Arizona summer? Most of our Roadrunners RV Club will be hitting the road to get out of the heat.

We had a great rally in April at Eagle View RV Resort with events like golf, We-Ko-Pa Casino, a great meal at Ahnala Mesquite Room at the casino, and much more. We had 12 rigs in attendance with lots of comradery outside. Our April meeting and Spring Fling was a big hit, with Dick and Anna Gay Pahlow being presented with a lifetime membership by Sally Walby. Dick and Anna Gay have been members of the RV Club since 1994. Also, at our Spring Fling with 65 members attending, we had a golf tournament won by Gail Colbert, bocce ball won by Dan and Pat Prekel, and a super box lunch from Subway.

Due to the closing of the meeting rooms (COVID-19), we were not able to have our regular business meeting to close out our season on May 11. We look forward to our Oct. 12 meeting.

The Sun Lakes RV Club meets the second Tuesday of each month in October and November, and January through May. Meetings take place in the Navajo Room at the Sun Lakes Country Club; social time starting at 6:30 p.m., and meeting at 7 to 8 p.m. For more information about the club and its activities, go to www.sunlakesroadrunner.com.

The Sun Lakes Roadrunners RV Club is all about fun travel, new adventures, good food, and great friends! The group enjoys many opportunities to see new sights, go on organized tours or explore on your own, dine out or cook at the campsite, and make many new friends.

Prospective members and visitors are always welcome. Come join the fun on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
