Bev Herring and family in Estonia
Jeanette Rajamaki
This summer is filled with lots of travel to Iceland, to the British Isles and London. The eclipse in August, particularly in Europe, we have many folks on the Sun Princess and the Sky Princess. Lots of folks going to Alaska, some short trips out of Seattle and some with land into Fairbanks and Denali with Talkeetna. Now is the time to plan Alaska for 2027 as 2026 is pretty sold out.
Definitely now is the time to book Holiday travel whether on the sea or by land. Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises are filling fast with Celebrity, Princess, Oceania, and Windstar. Some availability for Canada and New England for September and October.
River Cruising in Europe on the Danube, Rhine, Moselle are still in big demand to the point where companies like AMA Waterways, Now Celebrity River Cruises, Trafalgar River Cruises and Riverside are building and adding new River boats to fill the demand.
New ships launching in 2027 are Explora Journeys, Oceania Cruises, Crystal Cruises—these are on the smaller size but big ships are also launching huge new ships like Royal Caribbean which is a perfect fit for three and four generation families (that want to travel together) with multiple bedrooms.
Recent news was that National Geographic/Lindblad got the number one spot from clients for overall customer satisfaction. Wind Star Cruises and Viking Cruises tied for second.
