A native of the Chicago area, Diana Perez began her career as a professional singer performing at the Gaslight Club at the O’Hare Hilton. She went on to perform at major hotel chains throughout the country doing convention shows with a musical score for a 16-piece orchestra.
Moving in 1978 to the Phoenix area, Diana was represented by Southwest Booking Agency and performed with the Pat Trapani Orchestra. She performed throughout the Valley and headlined multiple shows including New Years Eve at the Playboy Club in Phoenix.
Diana’s career spans over 25 years of professional experience in music including piano/vocals. Her second love was science and she recently retired as a teacher after 28 years with the Phoenix Union High School District.
Currently, Diana performs weekly at numerous assisted living homes and retirement communities around the Valley. As a new resident of Sun Lakes you can catch her at the Oakwood Club House doing piano/vocals every other Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Diana is a member of the Chordaires Show Chorus and the Arizona Classic Jazz Society where she frequently sits in with the “Jammers” at the San Marcos Hotel in Chandler.
Diana’s piano/vocals include all styles of music but she specializes in the ‘30s and ‘40s. Music that is dearest to her heart is the older love ballads and jazz tunes which honor the veterans of World War II. Her versatility as a singer and smooth vocals make her a prime choice for musical events. She loves to engage the audience in sing-along segments. Diana’s performances stir beautiful, happy and wonderful sentimental memories.
