Our September meeting was a great get-together. We welcomed back some of those members who were away for the summer and enjoyed seeing old friends. Our program was a Mega Show and Tell, with our members showing off all the projects they completed over the summer and in our Christmas in July workshops. Those workshops will be repeated in October for all the members who were not able to attend the summer sessions.

Our October meeting will be held on Oct. 12, and will focus on our Special Interest Groups, especially the Charity Groups. We will have a Round Robin with demonstrations for many of those groups. Our Special Interest Groups meet in the Oakwood Sewing Room, in the Arts and Crafts building monthly. Meeting days and times are published each month in the Sew-N-Sew calendar, along with any classes or workshops that are scheduled.

We welcome you to join us as a guest for up to two meetings and then as a new member. New membership is $25, which includes a name badge. Membership is open to any Sun Lakes resident. Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. Our business meeting starts at 1 p.m., followed by our ever-popular Show and Tell, door prizes (always a hit), and then a program.

If you love sewing or fiber arts of any kind using a needle and thread and like to meet people with the same interests, please join us. If you have any questions, please contact us via email at [email protected].
