Sew-N-Sews news

Were you able to attend our September meeting? No matter how long you’ve been sewing, there is always something new you can learn. We never “know it all.”

Our October meeting, October 10, will be a bit different. We will have six (yes, I said six) presenters. Each lady will display and discuss the purses she has made. And the most exciting part is that each lady will have a class to teach the purse she made. Members will be able to sign up for the classes at the meeting, so be sure to bring your calendar (to see if the date(s) are available), and also bring your checkbook or cash to pay for the class. Again, these classes are for members only, but if you join Sew-N-Sews at the October meeting, you’ll be able to sign up for the classes.

We also have a new SIG (Special Interest Group), which is Walker Bags. We make walker bags (of course) to donate to the Veterans’ Hospital in Phoenix. Another worthwhile charity project by the Sew-N-Sews.

Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, in the Navajo Room of Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 South Sun Lakes Blvd. Take Riggs Road and turn south at Sun Lakes Blvd. That dead ends at the clubhouse. Ample parking is available on either the east or west side of the clubhouse.

The next meeting will be October 10 at 1:00 p.m.. If you have any questions, send an email to [email protected] or call our president Phyllis Prysock  at 480-339-0297.
