Sew-N-Sews will meet on October 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the Oakwood Ballroom. Our program will be Judy Waltz displaying and talking about decorated clothing and the techniques used in their designs.

Judy is a retired music teacher now living in Sun Lakes and has been in the retail business of her crafts for nearly twenty years. She will show samples of the designs and explain the techniques, tools and supplies needed. They include applique (her favorite), patchwork, strip patching, fabric layering, machine embroidery, top-stitching and thread painting and use of trims, metallic and buttons. Her inventory also includes handmade skirts and vests, hand knitted scarves, tote bags, purses and kitchen towels.

Come and gather lots of ideas to upcycle your old to a new wardrobe. Sew kindness – gather love.

Members will also show their projects that they have done during the summer. Guests are welcome.
