Our December meeting was a big success and was attended by over 60 members. We were treated to lunch and dessert, followed by the delightful music of the group Hosannas. They sang new and old familiar holiday music, and we were invited to sing along. We especially enjoyed the song tailored to Christmas in Arizona!

After many door prizes were given out and our members displayed their Show and Tell, we had a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. They were a big hit, and Santa invited members to take pictures and videos with Santa to share with families.

Thank you to all our members who contributed their time and talents to make our holiday party such a huge success. Special thanks to our organizer Judy Waltz for all her efforts.

Our January meeting will be held on Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. Join us for a program presented by our talented member Sandy Bealmear. She will share some unique ways to make your outfit special by adding interest at the neckline with scarves.

Our charity groups are looking for member volunteers to help with their efforts. Dolly Dressers meets on the first Thursday of each month from 1 to 5 p.m. For information, contact Julie Anderson via email at [email protected]. Pads4Paws meets on the third Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and the following Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Pads4Paws contact is Bonnie Clark at 480-209-0869.

Sew-N-Sews meets the second Wednesday of each month in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, at 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. Our business meeting starts at 1 p.m. Not a member yet? Join us as a guest. New member fee is $25, which includes the first year’s membership and a Sew-N-Sews name badge.
