Sun Lakes Community Theatre (SLCT) is holding auditions for the fall production of Sex Please, We’re Sixty on Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. at Cottonwood Country Club ballroom. For those unable to attend Tuesday’s auditions, another audition will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. Both auditions will take place in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood. Jo Birlin is directing. The show features a female owner of a B&B, her female guests, and a couple of male neighbors. It is a comedy and sure to be a great adventure for all involved. The dates of the production will be Nov. 8 through 12.
If you are not an actor, please consider assisting with the show in any number of other capacities, such as helping to load in the set and risers, putting up curtains and chairs, costuming, soundboard operation, lighting, ushering, set strike, etc. Everyone can be of use in a show—no experience is needed. On-the-job training is the name of the game.
Sun Lakes Community Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides cultural entertainment to the seniors of Sun Lakes and beyond. Membership in the organization is encouraged for all those who audition. For more info on SLCT or to obtain a membership application, go to www.slctinfo.com.
