SLCC Ladies Pitch and Putt

2023 kicked off on Jan. 5, despite cloudy skies and chilly temps. That being said, attendance was strong, and enjoyment was high. The hotly contested play featured a special “Roll of the Dice” and ultimately produced some very impressive scores. One team posted a score of 25, followed closely by several scores of 24, but the event winners were May Harper, Judi Smith, Terri Arellano, and Isabel Arellano with a fabulous score of 23!

Fun games are planned for each Thursday morning event, and everyone is excited to see better weather return very soon. This is purely a fun, social league. No experience or knowledge of golf is necessary—in fact, we tend to thumb our nose at the traditional rules of the game! Check-in is at 9:30 a.m. every Thursday at the SLCC pitch and putt course, with play starting at 10 a.m. The cost is $6 the first time you play and $1 each time after that. After rewarding the winners each week, all proceeds go toward an end-of-season banquet.
