The next meeting of the SLJC sisterhood will take place on Thursday, May 21, at the Chapel Center in Sun Lakes at 1 p.m. We will have a baby shower for mothers who are military veterans. The organization assists in providing items for mothers and their newborn babies. Please bring any of these suggested items to the baby shower.
Items for Babies:
Onesies, shirts, pants, dresses, socks, booties, caps (newborn to 9 months old), hooded towels, washcloths, bibs, burp cloths, disposable diapers (sizes one and two), baby wipes, baby shampoo, body wash, diaper rash ointment, bottles, bottle brushes, pacifiers, teething rings, drinking cups, baby spoons, baby hairbrushes, combs, nail clippers, baby thermometers, medicine dispensers, nasal aspirators, teething gel, stuffed animals, children’s books, receiving blankets, baby quilts, and knitted baby blankets.
Items for Moms:
Razors and shaving gel, shower or bath sponges, shampoos, conditioners, hairbrushes, hair ties, combs, nail files, clippers, nail polish, body wash, bubble bath, hand/body lotion, coconut oil, lip gloss, chapstick, feminine products: tampons, pads, nursing pads, bathrobe, slippers, flip flops (medium and large sizes), toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
Thank you to everyone who attended Games Galore, our fundraiser for local charities. It was a huge success. Save the date for next year’s event: Feb. 22, 2027. Also, we are grateful to all of you who ordered Mah Jong cards through Sisterhood. We raised a great deal of money for our charity projects.
