The Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) presented the 2021 Emanuel M. Katten Award to David Mork. Mr. Katten was a founding member of AIRA’s predecessor organization, and he was instrumental in the development of the Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) program and other association and professional initiatives. In recognition of Mr. Katten’s legacy, annually since 2000, AIRA conveys its Emanuel M. Katten Award to an AIRA member with a history of outstanding service to the association and a substantial contribution to the profession.
This year’s honoree is David Mork, CIRA, CEO of Arizona Business Consulting Company of Sun Lakes, Ariz. David was one of the founders of AIRA and its predecessor organizations. He was an early and longstanding leader of the profession and a nationally-known receiver for banks and financial institutions, and one of the very first Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (CIRAs).
In 2021, AIRA celebrated its 37th year of providing key education in the form of its Annual Bankruptcy and Restructuring Conference. AIRA and its predecessor organizations have been in the forefront of the restructuring field, serving professionals in business turnaround, bankruptcy, and restructuring practice. David has been one of the leaders for many years.
