At press time, the Brenden Financial Planning team, managed by Ken Brenden, and the Core Photography squad, managed by Rick Oien, were tied for the top spot in the standings in our Summer League with identical 9-5 won-lost records.

Brenden’s Tom Stephens was leading the league in batting average with an incredible .867 average, going 39 for 45. Jon Hendrikse (.828), Tom Bersano (.781), Kim Whitney (.774), Dick Bleich (.750), Reyes Gonzales (.750), Kim Van Nausdle (.737), Ron Carmichael (.711), Larry Kaufmann (.705) and Tim Loeffler rounded out the top 10. In the power department, Tom Kasunic was the league leader with 20 homeruns. Those 20 long balls were hit in only 59 at bats, a better than 1 in 3 ratio! Tom Stephens was a distant second with 8 taters, followed by Tom Bersano and Kurt Carmichael with 5 each.

Summer play continues through September 19. Check the Stats Page on our website (www.sunlakessoftball.com) for up-to-date standings and batting statistics. Thanks to our Summer Stats Man Jim Entwistle for all his work in calculating the statistics.
