March was a busy month for Sun Lakes Bocce Ball Club! The Battle of the Sexes tournament was on March 27, which was exciting and extremely competitive. Pictures of the winners and their names will be in next month’s Splash article.
The winners of the Second Annual Harry Bicchieri Memorial Competitive Tournament, which was held on Feb. 23, were Larry Vanderslice, Mary Ann Fazio, Linda Parfitt, and Andreus Kern.
Our second session ended on March 30 with an awards luncheon at Sisk Park. Our members filled the tables in the ramada with fabulous salads, side dishes, and desserts. Divisional first, second, and third place winners were announced.
It is hard to believe that our season is over and we have to wait until October to play competitively again. In the meantime, many players will continue showing off their skills in fun, competitive play with friends and family. If you are not a current member of the Sun Lakes Bocce Ball Club and are interested in joining, please reach out to our membership director for information at [email protected].
Our website sunlakesbocceclub.com contains all the information you need to know about the club, including our By-Laws, Club Play, How it Works, and the Rules of the Game. Please take the time to review the website!
As always, all new players to the game, or those who require it, can request instruction from our Training Committee by sending an email to the attention of the membership director at [email protected].
Reminder: Sun Lakes Bocce Ball Club members play at Sisk Park, not to be confused with Sun Lakes Country Club Bocce Ball Club that plays at Oasis Park!
