Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club donates to Cardon Children’s Medical Center

The Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club is pleased to again announce their yearly partnership with the Sun Lakes Quilting Ladies (AZ Blankets 4 Kids) and the “Kids Need To Read” program. With donations from the SLBLC, the Quilting Ladies have distributed colorful and age-appropriate quilts to children at the Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Along with the quilts and as part of the national “Kids Need to Read,” the SLBLC also purchases books ranging from young readers to teenage novels. “It is a scary time for a child when they are hospitalized. In some small ways, we are giving them some color and warmth with the quilts and in our donation of everything from picture books to teen novels, we are helping them to enjoy reading while getting better,” said Brian Curry, President of the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club.
