The Sun Lakes Card Makers group will meet on May 17, at 1 p.m., in the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Phase 1 to make plans for the summer. We meet during the summer months of June, July, and August to share skills and advanced card-making techniques. We are looking for a few more members whose primary hobby is making and designing greeting cards. We use an “each one teach one” philosophy. Each member selects a month and hosts the agenda for that month by sharing card-making kits for the membership. Our members include experts in coloring, using many different media, die cutting, rubber stamping, and other card-making methods. Each year we produce a calendar for the coming new year and share it with each other. We also meet for lunch each month in the Phase 1 Grill at 11:30 a.m. just prior to our monthly meeting. Usually, the monthly meeting time is the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Phase 1 Arts and Crafts Room.
