Sun Lakes Community Children’s Theater ends successful season

Dear Sun Lakes actors,

Thanks for coming to our school. You were awesome. You were better than the movie. I liked Horton and the gorilla and when everybody sang and when the Who’s made all that noise. The eagle scared me but I laughed when he shook his butt.

How did you make smoke come out of the black pot?

Your friend, Emily

This was a typical response from the over 4000 kindergarten and first grade students from the Chandler Elementary schools that were able to watch Horton Hears a Who; 30 cast and crew members, a combination of experienced actors and those acting for the first time helped make this a successful show. This was the fourth year that the SLCT Children’s Theatre performed for the Chandler elementary schools.

We are already making plans for next year’s show, Horton Hatches the Egg.

The SLCT Children’s Theater will perform Horton Hears a Who a final time this year on Saturday, April 4, right after the Easter egg hunt at Cottonwood, just south of the tennis courts.
