Pastor Don Hendricks
Christians joyfully end each year with a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, son of Mary, in a manger. We mark our calendars with B.C. and A.D., the year of Christ’s birth, the Son of God, the Lamb of God who would die for our sin and rise from the grave to sit at God’s right hand.
If there has been any development in my lifetime that adds to those two pillars of our faith, it is a realization that when Christ invited us to follow Him it meant that we imitate His life and actually fill our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly life with that Gospel truth.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life? Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 5:9-11
Let us celebrate the Christmas season joyfully thanking God for His living presence in our hearts and in this earth and be part of the ones who pray for peace on earth and good will among men. Merry Christmas.
