Welcome to summer in the community of Sun Lakes. I would like to send out a “Hello” to everyone. It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this month’s message to the Cottonwood Palo Verde (CWPV) residents.
There are some big happenings in our community starting with the CWPV board’s approval of the “Enhancement/Remodel of the Cottonwood Bar and Grill” at the May meeting. The remodel renderings are on display at the Administration building, the Palo Verde restaurant, and online under the “Homeowners Only” section. The enhancement/remodel project started with management’s idea to hire a professional designer, Katz Design, to provide professional advice for a new look and feel to the interior of Cottonwood’s Bar and Grill. CWPV Food and Beverage Manager Marshall Reichert then gathered input from a committee of community members. As a homeowner, you can stay up to date on the remodel progress with photos provided by the Communication Committee, also available online under the “Homeowners Only” section of our website. I would like to thank all the board members for their positive approach working with management and for their approval of this project. Our homeowners will be very proud of this community improvement. There will be no assessment to the homeowners for the remodel.
Group fitness classes are resuming at our Fitness Center! Remember to contact the Fitness Center for your fitness orientation, evaluation, and exercise prescription, provided to our homeowners as a complimentary session. Professional trainer services are also available for a fee.
We all know that entertainment shows are popular with our homeowners. Management is working with our entertainment provider on how and when we may be able to schedule upcoming events for our community.
I encourage you to stay updated with our community information by viewing “In The Know” and The Flyer on a weekly basis. There is so much to look forward to at CWPV in the coming months!

Shears to You (Great News!)
Step in and see how beautiful you can be. Shears to You mobile salon will be parked every Wednesday and Thursdays at Cottonwood in the east parking lot at the corner of EJ Robson and Brentwood from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a complete mobile hair salon and style lounge offering a full menu of hair and nail services for men and women. To schedule your appointment, call 480-983-5378.
Healthwaves Lab Screenings and Testing
Healthwaves will be available for testing in Cottonwood’s new Fitness Center from 8 a.m. to noon. They also handle flu shots and pneumonia shots. They will also do COVID-19 antibody blood tests ($95). Dates are July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec.14.
Rover’s Rest Stop
Mark your calendars and tell all your friends that Rover’s Rest Stop’s Meet & Greet Adoptions will be held on the second Saturday of each month. They will be in Cottonwood’s A-6 Dance Room from 9 a.m. to noon. Here’s a great chance for you to bring home an adorable new family member.
