Message From the President
Roger Beagle
Welcome to summer! Other parts of the country think of June as the start of summer, but we always have the experience of seeing warmer weather in May.
Those of us who stay in our community over the summer months look forward to a slower pace of life and shorter lines for dinner, entertainment, and movies. There are also more opportunities to sit outside, watching sunsets and enjoying visits with our friends on our patios.
This summer may bring thoughts of travel, but maybe closer to home, rather than overseas. Some residents have summer homes in the cooler parts of Arizona or nearby states. Whatever your choices are for the summer, I wish you all safe travels and look forward to everyone’s return when cooler days arrive!
Here are a few community updates for homeowners:
* Cottonwood streets are maintained by Maricopa County. The county recently improved the curbing and drainage areas of the streets. The county will be repaving the Cottonwood streets in their next phase of work. Dates are not yet determined.
* The Cottonwood pump house project, located at Cottonwood hole 4, has been delayed by one to two weeks, due to the manufacturer’s delay in delivery of the new pumps. All common areas and the Cottonwood golf course watering are affected.
* Palo Verde tennis courts are closed for resurfacing and needed repairs until further notice.
* Cottonwood’s main pool will have the old deco drains replaced in the coming months.
* Some décor changes are in the planning stages by management at the Palo Verde restaurant.
Our Cottonwood Palo Verde management and staff have a busy summer ahead with continued maintenance of the common areas and buildings. The board and management strive to keep our community looking beautiful so that we are proud to say this is our home.
I personally wish all our homeowners and residents to take advantage of all our amenities, as these are for you to use and enjoy.
Have a safe, happy, and joyful summer, wherever you may be!
