Message from the President
Leonard Horst
As I mentioned in last month’s article, we have hired a new general manager for Sun Lakes HOA2. His name is Steve Hardesty, and he joined the HOA on July 18. Steve has spent the past month and a half getting settled in his new role and getting to know his management team. We have all enjoyed his calm approach to everything and his quick wit! Our continuing best wishes to him in this role!
Your board and management team have been hard at work building the 2023 budget and business plan. These key items will be completed and ready for presentation to all homeowners at the Oct. 26 budget meeting, which will immediately follow the monthly board meeting.
We are beginning to see our snowbirds trickle back into the community, and it is great to welcome them back! We expect to see all our venues running at capacity within the next 30 days.
The project with Cox Communications will begin shortly. We will provide additional information on timing and locations as soon as it is available.
As we welcome the end of the hot season, we remind you to be careful as you walk, bike, and drive on our roads. Your safety is critical to each of us. We all must do our part to ensure each resident can enjoy this community every day!

We are ready for you! Homeowners can go to Homeowner Services during working hours and check out up to four racquets and six racquet balls for use at Palo Verde’s two indoor racquetball courts.
