The next Sun Lakes Democratic Club meeting will be Monday, March 14, with social time beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. This is a virtual meeting via Zoom. At this meeting you will have a chance for questions with our current Corporation Commission Representative as well as our State House Representative.

Sandra Kennedy, AZ Corporation Commissioner
Ms. Kennedy is a current Commissioner on the AZ Corporation Commission and will be running for reelection in the 2022 primary and general election. A long-time consumer advocate, Ms. Kennedy has been fighting to hold APS accountable for their rate increases as well as their funding of AZ Corporation Commission candidate elections. She is also a supporter of renewable energy.
Randy Miller, SRP Board Member
Mr. Miller is currently on the SRP Board and will discuss the upcoming SRP Board member election. This is an opportunity for SRP customers to know more about the election and who is running for board positions.
Jennifer Pawlik, AZ House Representative, LD 17
Rep. Pawlik will update us about the 2022 Legislative Session. As a teacher, and on the House Education committee, she will discuss pending legislation affecting our schools.
Jim Hinsey and Michael Morris, Candidates for LD 13 AZ Senate
Mr. Hinsey and Mr. Morris are both running for AZ Senate from LD 13 (new district number due to redistricting). They will discuss their positions so you can decide who to support in the 2022 primary.
