Sun Lakes Jeep Owners Keep Hitting Arizona Trails

Jim Carlson

You may have seen Jeeps lined up in the Cottonwood parking lot preparing for a Jeep adventure. The weather has been favorable for many Sun Lakes Jeep Owners to explore the Arizona Trails. In April, seven Jeeps and eleven people took the backway up to Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. It was a winding trail from the saguaro filled desert through the twisty hillside climbs into the towering pines at the Mt. Lemmon summit. We also went to the Arizona Jeep Go Topless Day held at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale where over 100 Jeeps attended. On our convoy to the event, we detoured to the viewing points on South Mountain.

In May, we did Box Canyon west of Florence and have scheduled a special trail run on Schnebly Hill Rd from I-17 into Sedona, plus other weekend excursions.

If you live in Sun Lakes and have a Jeep, feel free to reach out and meet other Jeep enthusiasts, go on trail rides and/or show off your Jeep!
