Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation

Joyce Spartonos

With April approaching, it appears that a sense of normalcy is making its way back into our lives, and the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation (SLJC) couldn’t be more delighted! Once more, SLJC looks forward to gathering together in person for our monthly services and give thanks for our many blessings, as well as offering up prayers for those who are suffering throughout the world.

Please come join with our esteemed Rabbi Irwin Wiener, cantor Ronda Polesky, and choir director Lana Oyer, as they lead us in Services on Friday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel in Sun Lakes 1. While masks are no longer mandatory, use is entirely at your discretion. For those few who may still be concerned about in-person gatherings, the service will be available for viewing on YouTube the following Friday. As you can see, SLJC has endeavored to cover all bases.

And, of course, SLJC is so looking forward to celebrating its annual Passover Seder on Saturday, April 16, at 5 p.m. in the Palo Verde Country Club. The cost is $50 per person for adults, $20 per person for children 5 to 12, and there’s no charge for children 5 or younger. The menu includes choice of chicken, brisket, or vegetarian. For all additional information, please contact Wendy at 480-584-5909. As always, the welcome mat is out for the entire community.

Until next time, Shabbat Shalom!
