September is the month for celebration of the Jewish High Holidays. Rosh Hashanah starts at sundown on Sept. 15, and Yom Kippur begins with the Kol Nidre service on Sept. 24. At the conclusion of the Yom Kippur service on Sept. 25, SLJC will be holding a Break-The-Fast at the Cottonwood Country Club. The cost is $30 per person (children under 3 eat for free), payable in advance. For more information or to make a reservation, call 480-584-5909. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Full services are conducted each month, starting in October, except for July and August, on the second Friday of the month, at 7 p.m. at the Sun Lakes Chapel.
